Alireza Mahmoudi, MD
Dr. Mahmoudi received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ilam University of Medical Sciences. He completed his ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Farabi Eye Hospital, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the top-ranked ophthalmology center in Iran. He subsequently pursued a two-year retina research fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), followed by a clinical retina fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, one of the nation's highest ranked ophthalmology programs.
In 2025, Dr. Mahmoudi joined Retina Consultants of Minnesota. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS).
