Peter J. Belin MD

Dr. Belin graduated magna cum laude from The University at Buffalo and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University. He completed both his Internal Medicine Internship and Ophthalmology Residency at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine in Long Island, NY. He served as Chief Resident in his final year of residency. Dr. Belin completed his Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Disease and Surgery at Retina Consultants of Minnesota and joined the practice as a retina specialist in 2021. He specializes in adult and pediatric retina with a special interest in retinopathy of prematurity and Stickler syndrome.
He holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology within the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Neurosciences at the University of Minnesota Medical School and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Dr. Belin lives in Stillwater MN with his amazing wife, son, daughter, and dog. His hobbies include biking, camping, cooking and traveling.
